Jakarta – PT Indonesian Defense and Security Technologies (IDST) and PT Pindad (Persero) agreed to build a partnership by signing a Head of Agreement regarding plans to build an Ammunition Factory on Friday, November 4 2022 at the Jakarta International Expo, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta.
The Head of Agreement was signed directly by the Main Director of PT Pindad (Persero), Abraham Mose and the Chief Executive Office (CEO) of PT IDST, Emrah Dundar.
Ruwadi, as PT IDST’s VP Business Operations, said, “The signing of this Head of Agreement is a form of IDST’s commitment and real contribution in supporting Indonesia’s independence in developing the domestic defense industry.”
Furthermore, PT PINDAD and PT IDST will prepare a cooperation proposal consisting of economic, business, legal and environmental aspects for the plan to build an Ammunition Factory to be built in Malang, East Java, and is targeted for completion in mid-2023.
PT Pindad (Persero) is a company engaged in the defense industry, established in 1983 with the status of Member of the Defense Industry BUMN Holding (DEFEND ID). Some of the defense needs produced by PT Pindad (Persero) include weapons, ammunition, special vehicles, heavy equipment, industrial equipment and services, transportation infrastructure, mining services and cyber security.
PT IDST itself is committed to being the government’s best contributor and partner in providing national defense system tools such as anti-drones, ballistic materials, weapons, and unmanned aircraft technology.
The signing of the Head of Agreement was carried out during Indo Defense activities which were carried out directly by the Indonesian Ministry of Defense by presenting 905 defense industries from 59 countries. During the four days of the Indo Defense event, 30 thousand visitors were recorded.
